Yes, we are! However, our days can get filled up pretty quick so the sooner you call to schedule the better.
It depends on your insurance. For instance, Medicare requires a doctor script for us to be able to treat you. Blue cross blue shield, on the other hand, does not. Give us a call if you want to double check!
Esslinger Physical Therapy is in network with Medicare, Medica, Nebraska Total Care, Ambetter, Healthy Blue, Aetna, United Healthcare, Anthem, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, among a few others. Please note however that just because we are in network with your insurance, it isn't a guarantee that physical therapy is covered with your particular plan. Also, most Medicare or Medicaid insurances require a script from a physician and some also ask that we get prior authorization to treat you. Our staff will handle acquiring prior authorization, but we might ask you to delay your next appointment until we get approval.
We also offer discounts for self-pay as well. If we are not in network with your insurance, we have options for open swim or dry needling cards to help see to your needs.
Always feel free to reach out if you want us to check your insurance's policy and benefits!

For your first physical therapy appointment, please make sure you have your insurance cards, and your doctor script. Wear loose clothing so that your physical therapist will be able to reach your sore spot. We also provide gowns if you ever need them. It is also a good idea to wear clothes that you are comfortable exercising in.
If you are coming for aquatic therapy, you will need a swimsuit or athletic clothing that you wouldn't mind getting wet. You can also bring extra clothes to change into after you are done. We do provide towels but if you want to bring your own, feel free!
For your initial evaluation, expect the appointment to last anywhere from forty-five minutes to an hour. Before you see the physical therapist, you will need to fill out a new patient form and sign a consent form at the front desk so come ten or five minutes early. You will also need to provide your insurance cards and your doctor referral if you have one. After you are all set up, you will be seen by our physical therapist. He will take the time to evaluate your condition and then will provide the necessary treatment and/or exercises. At the end of your appointment, we will discuss your insurance policies with you and if need be, collect payment or set up a payment plan.
It depends on the treatment you receive, however, for any charge there is a 50% discount for cash pay. Too see a full list of our fee schedule see the download below.
